Since the late nineteenth century, the Hummel-Hoyt family has welcomed travelers to this quiet corner of northwestern Minnesota. What began as a simple resting place for weary railroad workers has blossomed into one of the region's most treasured lodging experiences.
Today, our cabin preserves the craftsmanship and character of its origins — hand-hewn beams, wide-plank floors, and windows that frame endless prairie skies — while offering every comfort modern guests expect. Each room tells a story; each morning brings the sound of loons calling across Prairie Lake.
